#4 The astonishing Organ in the Cathedral of Montserrat 

The Montserrat cathedral has the largest organ in Barcelona and Catalunya and one of the biggest organs in Europe. It was placed in 2009 and was built by Albert Blancafort, thanks to Montserrat and Caixa Penedès who contributed with more than 800.000 euros.

#3 The restored Cavillé-Coll in La Sagrada Familia.

We can say it is the highest quality Organ in Barcelona, a Cavillé-Coll is the equivalent of a Stradivarius. It had to be restored by the Blancafort workshop and it took more than 4.000 hours of work.

#2 The oldest Organ in Barcelona (Cathedral of Barcelona)

Originally built in the XVI century but since then the organ has received many reforms, the last one in 1994 by Gabriel Blancafort. Concerts have been organized monthly since then… and they are a must if you love Organs as much as we do.


#1 The Organ in the Basilica of La Mercè

Considered by many the best organ in the city of Barcelona. The Organ was inaugurated by the 2018 Merce festivities, but it took more than 2 years to build it, the project started in 2015. It has more than 3.000 tubes in it, tubes that you could sponsor back in the day.

ZerpCorp Organs Barcelona visited THE BIGGEST ORGAN IN THE WORLD

Our ZerpCorp Organs Barcelona visited the biggest organ in the world. The Organ is placed in:                 Philadelphia's Wanamaker Grand Atrium Organ and it is the largest pipe organ in the world, according to its sonic range as well as its weight.               It is located within the spacious 7-story Grand Court of Macy's Center City (formerly the Wanamaker Department Store) and is played twice a day, Monday through Saturday.               He also performs at various special concerts throughout the year, including the Wanamaker Organ Friends Brass Ensemble and Choir Festival events.   Image 1: Inside the organ.                          Remember to follow us (ZerpCorp) on social media if you do not want to miss...
